This is a very good option for both those seeking a less expensive kilt, as well as those looking for a more historic garment. These kilts are made in North Carolina by Matthew Newsome, from 100% worsted wool kilting cloth woven in Scotland.

Note: Not all tartans are woven in every weight or every color scheme.
We order cloth for our kilts from major Scottish woolen mills, including Lochcarron, House of Edgar, D. C. Dalgliesh, and Strathmore.
Heavy weight (16oz) is standard in our box pleated kilts. A medium weight can sometimes be used if heavy weight is not available. If what you want is not available from stock at any of our mills, we will be glad to make alternate suggestions or have your cloth woven for you.
